2020 Bourbon & Brewfest Postponed; Launch New Tasting Sessions Series

Bowling Green, Ky. – The 2020 Bourbon & Brewfest, originally scheduled for Saturday October 24th, has official been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Bourbon
and Brewfest will continue in October 2021, with an exact date to be determined. Those who purchased tickets for this years event will have the option for a refund, to roll their purchase to the event in 2021, or move their purchase to the new Bourbon & Brewfest Tasting Sessions.

The New Tasting Sessions will be held once every two months at Bowling Green Ballpark’s Reinhart Stadium Club. The Tasting Sessions will be limited to 100 people and feature samplings of limited release beers and specialty bourbons. The first tasting session will be held on the original Bourbon and Brewfest date of Saturday October 24th at 6pm. Tickets can be purchased here and will be $20 per person. Tickets are only being sold in advance of the event and will not be sold the day of the event.

“We are disappointed to have to postpone this years Bourbon & Brewfest. Our staff worked very hard to develop a social distancing plan in June, but as the pandemic continues we felt there wasn’t a way to safely hold the event.” Said Eric C. Leach, Hot Rods COO & General Manager. “In addition, we heard from many breweries and distilleries that had committed early on who’s own tasting rooms are still shutdown and decided to withdraw.” Eliott Stahl, Executive Director of Vette City Catering, “We’ve always planned to expand the Bourbon & Brewfest Brand and we are really excited about hosting the Tasting Sessions.” Said. “Patrons attending will get a unique experience and be able to taste a variety of specialty drinks.”

Brewfest V: Rain & ‘Shine (Official Rain Plan)

With the high chance of rain on Saturday we have devised a weather plan to keep all guests out of the rain as much as possible. Umbrellas are allowed but not recommended, please keep them closed while on the concourse. The baseball field will be closed off.  Please review the updated festival map below.

Concourse & Field

All bourbon, wine, and vendor booths will be located on the concourse. Beer will be served from the ballpark concession stands. Most of the concourse is covered by a roof. The areas which are not will be covered by large tents we have rented for the day. The food trucks will be located outside of the second entrance just down the steps. The Bowling Green/Warren County Humane Society Silent Auction and Pint Knight Merchandise Tent will be located in the Hot Rods Pro Shop next to the VIP entrance.

VIP Area

The VIP area remains upstairs and is entirely sheltered from the rain. In an effort to help prevent congestion, we are splitting our VIP offerings between the deck area and club area. All VIP beer and our Griff’s catered order will be served in newly renovated club area. All VIP bourbons (including Four Roses VIP bourbons) will be served in the Coca Cola deck area along with Donatos pizza. We will also be opening all unused suites for use by VIP ticket holders for lounging and dining purposes only. Private Suites that have already been purchased will still only be available to those suite ticket holders.

Please wear appropriate attire and prepare for some fun!

Bourbon & Brewfest Named a Top 20 Event

Bowling Green, Ky. — Aug. 1, 2018 — The Southeast Tourism Society (STS) has named the Bowling Green Bourbon & Brewfest one of the STS Top 20 Events in the Southeast for October 2018. This year’s event is Oct. 13 at the Bowling Green Ballpark.

More than two dozen craft breweries and distilleries are on tap for the fourth annual Bourbon and Brewfest, and food trucks will line the ballfield to complement the spirits and hops.

“We are extremely excited for the 2018 Bowling Green Bourbon & Brewfest! It’s hard to believe we’re on our fourth year of the event,” said Blake Blackburn, one of the event’s partners. “Along with the representation of bourbon and craft beer companies, we cannot stress the importance of local sponsors, food trucks and vendors. These businesses really bring the festival to life and give the guests things to do, enjoy and purchase beyond drink sampling. When you combine a community of local entrepreneurs committed to serving festival goers along with brand representatives from distilleries and breweries, you get an immersive and intimate experience that is hard to replicate.”

Purchase Tickets:

“We are so excited to be named one of the Top 20 events by the Southeast Tourism Society,
said Cody Turner, another partner. “With the help of the CVB, we are proud continue to bring our community to the national stage as the fastest growing, locally-owned event. We can’t thank Bowling Green and our sponsors enough for the continued support. We look forward to hosting Brewfest IV this October 13th at the Hot Rod’s stadium. We have a ton of new features on tap this year, such as a dedicated VIP/sponsors entrance, two new food vendors in VIP (a big shout out to Donatos and Bojangles’), some incredibly rare bourbons, and a huge focus on Kentucky craft beer.”

This is the first year that the Bourbon & Brewfest was eligible to be nominated for this honor.

“We’re not surprised that the Bowling Green Bourbon & Brewfest was named a Top 20 event in its first year of eligibility,” said Vicki Fitch, Executive Director of the Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Experiences involving craft beer and bourbon have become tourism draws across the country, and we’re glad Blake, Cody and the rest of their team had the vision to create such an event for Bowling Green.”

The STS Top 20 Festival and Event Awards have highlighted programs around the Southeast since 1985. Travel industry experts select 20 events per month, and STS publicizes them throughout the United States. The complete list is published on two websites: and Travel Media Press Room.

“The Southeast is home to unique and memorable events throughout the year,” said Bill Hardman, president and CEO of the Southeast Tourism Society. “In spotlighting the Top 20 festivals and events each month, STS is not only giving these events the recognition they deserve but we’re also creating a quick reference guide to some of the best festivals in the Southeast. These events are important to the economic vitality of our communities and this is a way for us to acknowledge the time and resources organizers have tirelessly spent to create memories for their attendees.”

Events considered for the STS Top 20 recognition must be at least three years old and have attendance of at least 1,000.   The online nomination link and submission deadlines are available at or by calling 770-542-1523.
